Today in room 2 we had Mrs Hurly and we made some Soda Bread and some normal White Bread.
Top- the white bread before it was baked
This was the steps to making the White Bread!
Step 1. We put in 3 3/4 Tablespoons of milk powder into the bowl
Step 2. We put in 4 1/2 Teaspoons of yeast into to the bowl
Step 3. We put in 3 3/4 tablespoons of sugar into the bowl
Step 4. We put in 3 3/4 of a teaspoon of oil into the bowl
Bottom- after the white bread was baked
Step 5. pour in 555mls of warm water and mix it in
Step 6. We added in 6 3/4 of a cup of flour and stirred it all in together
After we had poured in the flour we kneaded the bread by pushing your palm forward and pulling it back. It was soft and stretchy and we had no problems. It was very easy to make. we knew it was ready when it was soft and moist. After we had kneaded enough Mrs Hurly put glad wrap over top and put in a warm spot to rise.
It looks delicious!Well done!

ReplyDeleteWell done on getting some feedback from Ms Golubeva and her class - they are from Siberia in Russia where the temperature gets to negative forty degrees in winter! I think that writing and publishing about your experience and involvement in school is a really good idea and we've talked in the past about the importance of photographs to help illustrate your writing. Great job.

That's very good. It looks really, really tasty. We think we've eaten something like that before. From Mrs Gardner's class of Reception children in Australia.
