You must remember my last post about my amazing minecraft house well I have finally finished the inside. All up there is 11 rooms a pool , fire place and cricket lawn. Even though I created it on creative next time I'm going to challenge myself by building it on survival.

ReplyDeleteGreat to see that you are following on from a previous post with an update - when you build it in survival mode what are the challenges going to be? Zombies?
Mr Webb
Yes it would be challenging to add creatures and have to build the house from scratch on survival and if would take at least a week.

Hi Caro,
ReplyDeleteThis is impressive. That's a really luxurious house you have created. Were you inspired by a book or a movie...perhaps your own house?! Or is this house out of your own imagination.
My class loves to create settings from the books they read in Minecraft. It is great to see that they are visualising as they read but interesting that we all visualise settings very differently in our heads.
Do you know that a couple of years ago, Mr Webb's class in Hamilton built our classroom in Christchurch in Minecraft? That was really fun to be part of. They did a great job.

Hi mrs C-M
DeleteI actually followed a tutorial on how to build a simple house but then I started to use my imagination by just doing it on the spot. I have seen your class page before and it is amazing I will keep you up to date on how it is going

Hello Caro!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! That's so cool. Did you know that by renaming a sheep with an item tag called jeb_ , you can make rainbow sheep? It's really cool! Some of my friends and I run a Minecraft blog, too! The link, if you'd like to have a look, is http://thecraftersminecraftguide.blogspot.co.nz/
That's cool that you have a fireplace; once I built a fireplace into a building that I made, Arendelle Castle, and it burnt down all of the inside. Luckily my friends and I rebuilt it. :) Did you use a flint and steel on top of Netherrack?
Hattie, Christchurch

Wow! Caro - I am inspired by your rather awesome blog. You have inspired me to have a closer look at minecraft as a possible learning tool for the children at my school. I thought minecraft was just a game kind of thing but reading through your posts I can see that it could be a very useful tool! Thanks for sharing your expertise!
ReplyDeleteHi Ms Bee
DeleteYes I think it is educational because it helps you learn how to survive in the wild life. I have seen your class page before and we done a skipe with you and some of your students at your school. Keep up the good work
Caro!
